WHY INSTALL CAMERAS?

There are 4 different reasons why cameras are installed:

1. To act as a DETERRENT: An exposed camera and visible warning signs will deter unauthorised activity and enable capturing of video footage.

2. To DETECT: A camera is positioned to detect activity which can be used for analytics such as triggering alarms, direction of movement or invisible barriers.

3. IDENTIFICATION: Camera must be positioned to capture full body images of target and recorded with a watermark so that they may be used as evidence.

4. FACIAL OR NUMBER PLATE CAPTURE: A camera must be positioned to capture specific quality images. This requirement will impact the location, quantity and quality of the cameras.
